Olamide Olojoku of Kwara is the pacesetter in the boys' scrabble event at the 8th National Youth Games which enters Day 4 today (Sunday), the 15th of September 2024.
Olamide Olojoku, is yet to drop a game after seven rounds and he has a cumulative of plus 956 points and two wins from the last three games which will give him gold.
Olojoku's teammate Basit Zarumi Ibrahim, Peace Adegunte from Ekiti and Gateway boy Adam Gbadebo are closely behind Olamide Olojoku with 6 wins each.
Captain of Team Kwara Scrabble Khalid Olosun, Simthe Jimjel of Adamawa, Edide Pereowei, Samuel Emelike, Saviour Onzi, August Shannon, Simthe Jimjel, Oluwaseun Asaolu, Jordan Isa and David Ajibola are all on 5 wins from a possible 7 games.
Khalid Olosun's chance of finishing with a medal in the singles event is very bright as he holds a fat cumulative point of plus 1071 and the high game of scrabble Day 1 belongs to Khalid Olosun with 716.
