...Abridged League to start October 27th in Benin City

Hoops N' Read basketball club of Lagos State have started camping in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital ahead of the the abridged Nigeria Basketball Federation, (NBBF) Men's Premier League.
The club opened camp on Tuesday (today), with all players reporting for duty as Coach Victor Mensa has his eyes high.
With 8 teams in two groups each, Atlantic Conference and Savanah Conference set to compete in the League, Hoops N' Read basketball Club are gunning for glory, their sixth this year.
The team will have to shake off opposition from defending champions and bronze medalist at the 2024 BAL Championship Rivers Hoppers and the fierce cagers of Ilorin, Kwara Falcons, Ebun Comets of Lagos, Police Baton of Lagos, Lagos Legends, Oluyole Warriors of Oyo State and Delta Force of Delta State, to punch their way into the Final 8.
This, South West Basketball League showdown Most Valuable Player, Clinton Best, says is a more than attainable as he sees no team as a possible barrier to his mission in the League.
“We're going there to destroy every team we play because we're prepared... I see no Team obstructing us, the way my team is ready for the league is beyond explanation, we're on hot hands,” he emphasized.
Clinton Best who has claimed five MVP Award titles this year went on to explained his winning formula.
“I stick to my role on the team doing just what I know how to do best, and listen to every correction from both my coach and my teammates... I believe with our collective efforts together as a team and discipline we're unstoppable,” he stressed.
Best, a fierce cager, with a PhD in dunking further emphasized on the importance of having a goal oriented and understanding coach to back is up.
“All this possible through the help of Coach Victor Mensa, and Assistant Coach Timothy Abimbola helping is to stay disciplined on the little, little basics we're instructed to do, we had our mistakes and flops on the floor on each games which is normal in the basketball game, but we don't use that as an excuse, we try to put everything into perfection and pay attention to details, which has brought us this far,” he expressed.
He concluded with words of praise for, the CEO Olumide Oyedeji Youth Foundation, Mr. Olumide Oyedeji, the owner of the club for his undivided attention to the team as he on Tuesday provided footwear, jerseys, backpacks and various other items for the League.
Adding that the NBA star and former D'Tigers captain has put everything in place for a seamless outing.

Clinton Best is looking at adding a sixth MVP Award to his impressive collection at the shortened Men's Premier League scheduled for October 26th in the historic and ancient city of Benin, Edo State.
Four teams from each conference will qualify for the final 8 tournament, that would crown the new king of Men's Basketball in Nigeria.
