JNF/FIBA Africa Zone 3 to co-host Elite 5 Basketball Camp, 3×3 Tournament

This year's edition of the Jordan Nwora Foundation, (JNF), Elite 5 Basketball Camps and 3×3 championship in collaboration with the FIBA Africa Zone 3 and the Honourable Tony Nwora Foundation has been scheduled to take place in Onitsha Anambra, the Economic hub of the South East, Nigeria.

He explained that the age grade basketball events is slated to dunk off on the 1st of July in Onitsha Anambra State and will come to a befitting end on Thursday, July 3rd.

The three-day basketball camp and the 3×3 basketball tournament, will feature boys and girls from across Nigeria between the ages of 14 and 18.

The event is the brainchild of NBA Champion and Turkish League Champions, Jordan Nwora, a basketball small forward with a heart of gold, who currently plays for Anadolu Efes of Turkey.

The 6.8ft basketball addict played for 4 NBA sides, after being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2020.

The event masterminded by the 26 year old basketball giant begins by 7am and closes by 5pm daily.

KEY ASPECTS OF THE TRAINING:

* Attacking and defending tactics
* How to execute effective slam dunk and other moves
* How to react to lost ball possession
* Movement with or without the ball
* Shooting skill
* Skills challenge
* Dribbling and passing
* Team work
* Team formations
* Team play and bonding, just to mention but a few of the difference drills and exercise the kids were put through.

The Jordan Nwora Foundation relies on the power of sport to improve the lives of underprivileged children in the United States and Africa and they are dedicated to providing athletic and educational opportunities to children.

Lafia in North Central, Lagos in South-West of Nigeria, Nairobi, Kenya, Monrovia, Liberia, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire and Accra, Ghana with over 2,000 boys and girls had the opportunity to participate in this grassroots development program in the last five years.

The Elite 5 Basketball Camp is gaining grounds as various sponsors are identifying with the event.

This long list is headed by Global Mobile Technology and the Anambra Basketball Association.
