Grassrunners FC lit up the Remo Stars Stadium on Tuesday with a blistering, no-mercy performance as they battered Just John FC 5–2 in a pulsating N-Youth League showdown that had goals, grit and pure drama from start to finish.

The hosts wasted no time asserting dominance. In just the 8th minute, the electric Timileyin Anuoluwa Adelabu opened the floodgates, firing Grassrunners in front.

But if the home supporters thought it would be a smooth ride, Just John FC had other ideas, replying almost instantly for 1–1 before flipping the script to take a shock 1–2 lead, silencing the once-roaring Ikenne crowd.

Adelabu, however, refused to let the story end there. With fire in his boots, he struck again before halftime, dragging Grassrunners back to 2–2 and setting the tone for a ferocious second half.

And what a half it was.

Grassrunners returned from the break like a team possessed, unleashing wave after wave of lethal attacks.

Abdoulaye Said Agbejoye added two ruthless goals to put the hosts firmly in command, while Papi Adeola Agbejoye sealed the emphatic 5–2 demolition with a cool finish that left the visitors chasing shadows.

In truth, the scoreline could have been far uglier. Grassrunners carved out chance after chance, only to waste several sitters that would have turned the game into a full-blown massacre.

But even at 5–2, the message was unmistakable, Grassrunners FC are flying, ferocious, and now sitting proudly on top of the N-Youth League table.

Opponents, beware, this team is running, and running hard.
